York is comprised of four distinct areas - York Harbor, York Beach, York Village and Cape Neddick. "The Yorks" is a popular summer destination. Although tourism is York's primary industry, it is also home to a variety of businesses, large and small. All types of housing are available in York, from well-kept Colonials and comfortable summer cottages to condominiums and family neighborhoods of newer construction. York has two elementary schools, a middle school and York High School.
